The first THEME associated with the Cosmos according to our catalog "Conquete de l’Espace", Polar exploration was the first manifestation of Man’s desire to Explore. Before these polar expeditions, we knew less about these white deserts than about the Moon!

During the International Geophysical Year 1957/58, the exploration of the Poles formed the basis of the launching of the artificial satellites and thus the Conquest of the Cosmos owes much to the pioneers who gave their lives in these frozen wildernesses.
