Drawings of Bernard and Alexandre Lollini.
Jean Loup Chretien: from wikipedia
In 1988, he was part of the ARAGATZ mission. He made a second space flight aboard Soyuz TM-7 (from November 26 to December 21, 1988), after two years of new training in Star City. He participated in the program of experiments of the Franco-Soviet scientific and technical mission ARAGATZ aboard the Mir station. On December 9, 1988, he performed, along with Alexander Volkov, an EVA (extravehicular activity) of nearly six hours (5h57, then a record for the duration of a spacewalk) following a problem during the deployment of a structure. This increase in the duration of the EVA caused a failure of the anti-fog system and the visor of his helmet became covered in fog, preventing him from seeing properly. The two cosmonauts had difficulty closing the airlock behind them, and the little autonomy remaining in their suits was becoming critical. EUROPEAN SPACE CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF EXISTENCE: With the founding organizations, ESRO and ELDO, our continent competed in GREATEST ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE CONQUEST OF SPACE.
It is a great joy for Lollini editions, that have attended and helped make known the ESA in the philatelic field to draw the beautiful space exploits of the past 50 years.
