is a scientific satellite developed by the Italian Space Agency (ASI) which is to measure the Lense-Thirring effect predicted by the theory of general relativity. It takes over from the two Italian-American LAGEOS satellites with the objective of improving the quality of the data obtained by them by a factor of 10-20.
