Beschreibung : Launch successful for GOCE, the satellite with aerodynamic shape with wings. Its orbit is so low altitude that some residual atmosphere will require constant IONIC propulsion. GOCE is a measuring platform to accurately redefine Earth geoid, magnetic field and gravitationnal anomalies.
Because of extreme conditions of low orbit and limited amount of "fuel" (XENON) mission duration is short - about 20 months estimation.
