Beskrivning : The Interkosmos DS-U3-IK series consisted of six missions in to measure solar radiation and its effect on the atmosphere. They were conducted by Interkosmos, an international cooperation of socialist countries.
The satellites were based on Yuzhnoye`s DS-U3 bus. The sun-pointed satellites were solar powered by eight deployable solar arrays. These satellites carried a suite of east European experiments to study solar ultraviolet and X-ray effects on upper atmosphere.
