SpaceX`s Starship prototype, MK1, experienced a failure during a launch test at the company`s Boca Chica, Texas, test facility on November 19, 2019, when the rocket`s methane and oxygen tanks were being filled with cryogenic liquid, the upper bulkhead of the rocket shot hundreds of feet into the air before falling to the ground, and the main body, held mostly intact, with the exception of some buckling. A cloud of vapor and cryogenic liquid bellowed into the air.
