Descrizione : LARES - Laser Relativity Satellite
is a scientific satellite developed by the Italian Space Agency (ASI) which is to measure the Lense-Thirring effect predicted by the theory of general relativity. It takes over from the two Italian-American LAGEOS satellites with the objective of improving the quality of the data obtained by them by a factor of 10-20. The satellite is to be placed in orbit as part of the first flight of the Vega C launcher
